Senior Project Engineering Specialist-Technology Mining Projects
ARC is currently working alongside a successful natural energy resource provider who are seeking an experienced Project Engineer-Technology (Mechatronics or Electrical)

This role plans, controls and executes multi-discipline projects (Mechanical, Electrical and Civil) across multiple sites.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead your team in the delivery of safe work practices that comply with the respective Sites Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
Involved in managing the installation of Networks and Technology for Blasthole Drills
Deliver and maintain project documentation in compliance to Small Project Management Framework (SMPF) standards.
Manage application of Project Management processes within the team to support compliance with Site requirements and GLDs.
Manage costs to budget and be accountable for regular forecasting and rectifying variances.
Ensure compliance to Engineering Standards for assigned projects.
Monitor progress and rectify variances to plan.
Identify and manage resourcing changes with assigned projects.
As assigned - Progress feasibility studies, cost-benefits analyses, impact assessments and project business cases to obtain the required project approvals.
Challenge and coach delivery team through KPI/objective setting and development as well as mentoring.
Manage the Change Control process for assigned projects.
Drive continuous improvement.
Project Management skills
EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Degree in Mechatronics or Electrical (Mandatory)
Experienced with Networks and Technology for Blasthole Drills (Mandatory)
Previous experience across multi-discipline project (Mechanical, Electrical and Civil)
Previous Project Engineering and Project Manager experience covering detail design, execution and operations.
Takes actions to persuade others, including careful preparation of data, provides different options
Actively looks for opportunities and ways to innovate and add value. Translates problems into questions.
Risk Management for Projects.
Understands the sources of project risk and is able to identify and/or design safety elements early within the project or construction site.
Conducts sufficient analysis to understand issues and generate appropriate solutions.
Project Engineering Management
Utilises project engineering standards and practices in the various phases of the project, for example, establishment of basis of design and of safety in design implementation.

This is a long-term 12 + Month contract position based in Brisbane working Monday to Friday located in a state of the art office with flexible working arrangements. A generous hourly rate is on offer along with the prospect of the contract being extended.
