Mechanical Engineer – Graduate
Having recently been announced as the Rental Company of the Year in the HRIA Hire Industry Excellence Awards (HIEA) 2021, Aggreko is the global leader in generator and temperature control hire with locations throughout the world. We are a major player in the global power market with our local operations spanning across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
We are currently seeking a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering and technical assistance to the Australia Pacific business through support of project specific design, supporting technical documentation, specialist engineering and general helpdesk functions of the Engineering Department.
Under supervision, analysis of client system characteristics and loads to determine appropriate sizing and configuration of solution packages.
Compilation of draft engineering design reports for submission to clients and management.
Drafting of process & instrumentation, layout and plan drawings using CAD.
Liaise with client’s technical staff and visit potential job sites, as required, to verify project needs.
Advise Sales team on specific design issues and propose engineering solutions in the temperature control area of the business.
Active participation in Engineering Help Desk function.
Developing role in project implementation and commissioning until operational handover.
Carry out basic on-site engineering reviews.
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferably with experience in an Diesel or electrical power systems business.
Exposure to power generation, pumping systems and project management would be highly regarded
A good communicator, both written and oral.
Available to travel on a national basis.
Strong computer design skills
