Southern Grampians Shire Council is committed to providing employment opportunities for local students who want to develop their skills and pave a solid career right here in in their own backyard.
Southern Grampians Shire Council is offering a $15,000 scholarship to support a local first or second year student through the final years of a four-year degree in Civil Engineering.
The scholarship consists of $5,000 annually towards the cost of tertiary fees and study needs.
In return the successful student will be provided with paid work experience over the summer months November - February and guaranteed minimum three years post graduate employment.
The Local Government industry provides an abundance of opportunities for engineers, including planning, design, contract management, project construction, operations and environmental experience.
Graduates will be exposed to a wide variety of engineering landscapes including systems, projects and future planning and will provide the support you need to identify your strengths and preferences in the field of choice.
Full details of this program will be found in the position description attached.
Council is now seeking expressions of interest from highly motivated, enthusiastic local engineer students.
Please forward your expression of interest including a cover letter, resume, copy of your university enrolment and recent examination results to firstname.lastname@example.org
