McConnell Dowell Constructors Australia have been awarded the contract to deliver Stage 3 of the Echuca-Moama Bridge project and are now accepting applications from those interested in joining the team.
Stage 3 of the project includes:
A new road north of the new Warren Street roundabout in Echuca with one lane in each direction;
New bridges over the Campaspe and Murray rivers;
Two new flood relief bridges; and
A new separated walking and cycling path, providing a safe and scenic link between Echuca and Moama via Warren Street.
About the Role
Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
Coordinating with Managers and Superintendents on Engineering, temporary works, scheduling and status of the project;
Providing overall progress reports and other reports related to schedule, cost and manpower;
Interpreting Engineering documents and drawings for field personnel;
Monitoring and coordinating the preparation, maintenance and change of construction schedules, methods, manning charts and equipment requirements;
Developing and overseeing inspection practices of Site Engineers to ensure effective and satisfactory progress and completion of all work areas for the project; and
Carrying out progressive Engineering audits of temporary works in accordance with the audit schedule.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Tertiary qualification in Construction/ Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Construction industry with civil project experience preferred.
Specialist experience in Project Engineering and working knowledge of Project Management.
Competent in planning and organising work schedules and a demonstrated ability to deliver to timelines.
Strong working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation of the same.
Demonstrated ability to lead, organise and motivate others.
