The Business Energy and Energy Solutions division is responsible for successful delivery of Commercial Solar, EV chargers and other emerging energy solutions.
The Installation Engineer will work in the Commercial Solar team and will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of business solar projects. You will be responsible for engineering and project management supporting the effective development and delivery of solar installations for business customers across NSW. With a strong focus on HSE, compliance and cost efficiency, this role will ensure optimal customer experience, while making certain that business outcomes are achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
Liaises seamlessly with Origin's internal teams, clients and suppliers
Coordinate and lodge applications for external approvals (such as council permits and applications for connection)
Managing field activities with service suppliers, to ensure contract performance, delivery timeframes, installation practice, service and repair, and that cost KPI's are met
Project management and quality assurance of the installation process
Managing the Origin field compliance framework, advocate compliance and safety practices across the team, service suppliers, contractors and technical nominees, including risk assessments, legal compliance, quality audits and safety implementations
Managing project records and completion documentation, including quality assurance of documentation completeness
Ensure QA, HSE and internal processes are implemented and documented
Is This You?
The ideal candidate will be an Electrical Engineer (or similar) and have previous experience in Photovoltaic (PV) solar systems
You will possess strong project and time management skills with the ability to priortise confliciting deadlines
You will be passionate about the industry with a desire to learn all about emerging technologies and their applications
Strong written commercial and technical communications skills is essential to the role
Experience with software solutions such as Salesforce, Nearmaps, PVsyst, Helioscope or AutoCad is highly desirable
