Baw Baw Shire is looking for Engineers to assist on a casual basis with the planning, procurement and delivery of infrastructure in our growing municipality.
With a capital works program of over $40 million and nearly 140 programs this year, Baw Baw Shire requires casual assistance across the Community Infrastructure Team.
The Community Infrastructure Team manage a broad variety of projects each year relating to both existing assets and new infrastructure. As a casual engineer, you may have the opportunity to work on waste management projects, local roads, drainage, car parks, footpaths, bridges, culverts, open spaces and buildings.
A broad range of work is available and may be related to planning future infrastructure needs, maintaining existing infrastructure, managing projects, undertaking engineering investigations on behalf of the community, engaging and supervising contractors and consultants, liaising with the community and other key stakeholders as well as providing technical advice.
If you are an Engineer with a passion for community infrastructure, have relevant experience in a customer service industry and are interested in a casual role that provides a flexible working arrangement, we would love to hear from you. As this is a casual position, applicants need to be aware that work hours will be flexible with no set minimum hours.
A tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline (which is eligible for membership of Institute of Engineers Australia), an Industry White Card, relevant experience and a current Victorian Driver's Licence are essential. Local government experience is preferred but not a must.
