The Network Engineering team is responsible for maintaining the health of NAB’s Enterprise network and Data Centres by leveraging the latest in high scale networking hardware, multi-tier topology and advanced tooling to solve complex technical problems for our customers. This team is pivotal in driving technology road-maps and changes that ensure a safe and reliable network, manage operational changes, determine root cause of complex issues, develop automated tooling and implement design optimizations that drive reliability.
This role is responsible for designing and planning strategic tools and automation for Engineering team leveraging the latest technologies, hardware, multi-tier topology and advanced tooling. This role will drive the strategic direction for monitoring and reporting tools that will ensure safe and reliable network changes, drive root cause analysis of complex issues and implement automated network optimizations that drive reliability and availability of NAB's infrastructure.
What you will bring:
5+ years of experience in building large-scale, complex systems in Network automation
Extensive experience in Scripting and/or coding languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell (bash, ksh, csh), Ansible, Rest API, JSON or similar.
Experience in implementing and managing SNOW, SPLUNK or similar
Hands-on experience building open source tools such as YAML, ELK, Grafana, Kafka etc.
Experience in AWS, AZURE, GCP or similar cloud environment.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
BS in Engineering/Computer Science/IT and/or equivalent experience
Prior experience in operations/support or similar environment
Ability to work in and keep up with a fast-moving environment via effective prioritization and time management.
Ability to encourage, motivate, and guide individuals or teams in learning, improving effectiveness and driving high engagement with teams.
ITIL certifications a plus
