Due to extensive growth in Adelaide, we are now looking for two onsite support engineers to support a client onsite for a fixed term engagement. The role will see the successful applicants provide on-site support and assistance whether in person, remotely and or via phone to the client’s user community whilst maintaining a high level of professional service. The role will also be providing support and health check services to other remote client offices as will require regular travel within the region.
Troubleshoot and resolve assigned incidents and service requests whilst ensuring professional service.
Assist incident and problem management processes to ensure proper investigation and resolution of service issues
Assist staff with general IT enquiries and if needed, provided basic education and training.
Engage with internal customers and provide regular feedback in response to logged service desk requests.
Work with software and hardware vendors to resolve issues and faults.
Establish and maintain effective working relationship with key areas within Group ICT, Saab Business and the end user community.
Assist with IT activities related to office relocations and/or refurbishments.
Provide support and health check services to other Saab offices within the region.
Break/Fix of client computers and peripherals.
Client setup and configuration (IMAC).
Perform tasks initiated by Regional IT Management
Skills and Experience:
Client HW: desktop, laptops and HW components and peripherals
Windows operating system
End user support
Basic Network fundamentals, such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
Basic knowledge of Linux
Communications platforms i.e. Outlook, Skype, Xenmobile etc.
Citrix working environment.
Basic knowledge of Active Directory
Ideally you will be a self-motivated individual who is focused on providing strong customer service in both verbal and written format. With strong communication skills, bother written and verbal, you will have demonstrated documentation skills.
You must understand the importance of developing strong relations with the customer, with a solid understanding of the need to comply with security and regulations connected to customer information.
As a representative of DXC, you will display a high level of personal integrity and professionalism representing the clients ICT department and their organisation along with the DXC brand.
The successful candidate must hold a valid security clearance – Baseline minimum.
