GHD has an opportunity for two (2) Casual Tailings Engineers to work on various construction sites in Queensland. We are offering the successful candidates 6 – 8 months of work per year on hourly rates. Your preferred commute base is Queensland.
If you have a background in mining operations, construction, consultancy and/or project management we encourage you to apply.
Working on a diverse range of projects you will :
Be involved in a hands on construction and operator support role with the opportunity to work in active operations
Carry out construction and verification of tailings storage facilities and mining related civil works projects
Liaise with operators and prepare monthly monitoring reports and construction reports
Provide direction and input to construction process and project management
Provide input and oversight to quality assurance and construction documents
Provide design input as required
Become competent with tailings and mine waste facility design and management
You will have degree qualifications in Engineering (Civil), or relevant industry experience
5 – 10 years experience
A good understanding of mining sites
An understanding of safety
Quality control and quality assurance experience
