Due to ongoing growth, we have a vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer to join our vibrant team in Artarmon, New South Wales.
The role will be focused on providing a high standard of mechanical design, engineering and technical support to the regional Weir Minerals Australia and Asia Pacific teams on the engineering analysis, on-site installations and service of products.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical mindset, with the ability to draft and develop engineering and technical solutions within various projects.

The key responsibilities of this role will include: (but not limited to)
Supporting the Service and Refurbishment of pumps, municipal equipment, valves and other equipment.
Testing and analysis of our products and equipment through Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles.
Ensuring all products are designed and detailed to the required specifications.
Utilisation of engineering software such as AutoCad, NX and Solidworks in the development of isometric drawings.
Work within the current processes to conduct product changes and new product enhancements enhancements.
Participate in the end to end process of engineering projects; from tendering and concept design through to the end project delivery.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Tertiary qualifications, such as a Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
Have a background in mechanical technologies.
Exposure to materials technologies and minerals processing will be beneficial.
Proven experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Be Confident, self-motivated and passionate.
A strong background in Piping, Fabrications and/or Hydraulic Circulations will be highly regarded.
Proven experience with engineering software such as NX, Solidworks and AutoCAD.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suites.
